Awful things happen, all over the world, to anyone. And it’s a terrible shame for something so awful to have happened to one so loved as Nicky Hayden, exactly 1 year ago today.

Aragon, FP3: The crash collection, part 3

Nicky crashing by himself wouldn’t have been a big deal. Marshals immediately by his side to help him.

Unfortunately, a little behind them Marc crashed, wiping out Pol (who’s at this point having a pretty bad day at the office), with both their bikes heading towards the escape road, narrowly avoiding Nicky and the marshals. Great reaction by the marshal who saw the rapidly approaching bikes, and signaled to the others to get away from the bike.

+Good job by Marc immediately rushing to check up on Pol once he was sure their bikes didn’t hit anyone, despite hurting himself too if his shoulder movements are anything to go by. He was actually still clutching it while riding back to the pits:

+Love that evasive jump by Nicky. If you look at it from another angle, that was a very well-timed reaction:

+Silver lining for Pol is that this day can only get better from here, after this practice session.

Thankfully, all riders and marshals are alright, no major injuries.
